Leadership team

Although Calvary Baptist is a self-governing congregation, we have set apart leaders to “keep watch over our souls as those who will give an account” (Heb. 13:17).  These leaders have been specially charged to shepherd, serve, teach, and govern for the good of the church.  While the church is charged to submit to its leaders, the leaders themselves are also accountable to the local congregation.

Pastor Gary Steward

Derek Butler

In his professional life, Derek is CEO of the Association of Seafood Producers in the province.  He enjoys theology, politics, world travel, and spending time with his wife.

Tim Churchill

Tim is currently working on his Ph.D in New Testament and has a desire to teach the Bible overseas.  He enjoys playing with his children and following current events.
