Sunday Morning Corporate Worship

Join us any Sunday morning, it’s a great way to begin to know and understand who we are, what we believe, and how we live.  Every Sunday morning we meet together to worship, pray, and hear the Bible taught and proclaimed. We aim to encourage each other’s faith, and to stir up our hearts to delight in what we believe through music and song.  The last Sunday of every month we invite believers to reaffirm their faith in the atoning death of Jesus by partaking of the Lord’s Supper (Communion).

Our worship service is open to all, and a special children’s program is provided for children five and under for part of the service (distinct from Sunday School, see following…).

Sunday Morning Sunday School

Sunday Morning Sunday School for all ages – children and adults – takes place every Sunday morning at 10:00AM (before the regular service. We have a deliberate and intentional children’s Sunday School, aspiring to teach our children to treasure God’s word and to see him with all their hearts. Our adult class meets in the main sanctuary, and in the past we have looked at J.C. Ryle’s Holiness and Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology. Coffee is served downstairs between class and the main service. Please note: Sunday School is not held during summer break (usually late May to September).

Small Group Bible and Fellowship Groups

For a more informal and extended time of encouragement, accountability, prayer, and discussion, we have multiple groups that meet in homes throughout the week.  We currently have groups that meet in various homes throughout the city on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.

Children’s Ministry

The children God has brought within our sphere of influence are potential life-long disciples of Jesus Christ.  Therefore, we take our time with children very seriously, viewing what we do as a subset of the Great Commission mandate to “make disciples” (Matthew 28:19).

We are excited to be partnering with parents to work at developing a cradle to young adult program of systematic and intentional discipleship.  Central to our program is the Bible.  We long for our children to think biblical about God, themselves, and the world that he has made.  Therefore, we labor to keep Bible teaching and Bible memorization central to our curriculum.  We are particularly eager to instill the Biblical truths of the gospel and the character of God into the lives of our children.

In our philosophy of children’s ministry, we have been especially influenced by the material available through (Children’s) Desiring God Ministries.  We are very happy to be using their materials.  For more information or to register your children, please contact Jennifer Winger (895-0039).

Youth Ministry

We offer a Saturday night format of teaching, activities, and interaction with adults that is geared toward producing maturing young people who are deepening their faith and integrating their lives into the life of the church.  This group meets form 7-10PM.  For more information, contact Daniel and Amanda McKelvie (748-4005).
